FT. COVID-19

Riverside's motto reads "Come for the cars, Stay for the people", and that is exactly what everyone did this past weekend.
Due to the Novel Corona Virus, there was a State of Emergency declared in Tennessee, which meant that the state would not allow gatherings of more than 10-20 people among other rules. These rules force the city to shutdown the show scheduled for Saturday which caused a ton of uncertainty for everyone who had already made it to Chattanooga. Even with this unfortunate series of events, this was a weekend to remember.
With the state being under the State of Emergency, we were sure that every meet we would try to go to would get shutdown. With to our surprise, we were wrong. What ended up happening was a weekend full of pop-up meets and cruising around the city of Chattanooga. Some would argue, this was the best Riverside weekend yet.

With the show and pre-meet being cancelled, word was getting out of a couple different groups of people trying to put little parking lot meets together. We ended up at the Sportsman's parking lot to hang out for spot number 1 with hopes the cops would leave us alone. Luckily, thats exactly what happened and the turnout was impressive.
The Riverside team, after some diligent work, found a place to hold a pop-up shop at 3pm on Saturday. That morning was filled with driving from lot to lot across Chattanooga and being kicked out of a few spots. Finally, we ended up somewhere in Georgia at a baseball complex where the cops were lenient for a few hours.
After a few hours at the complex, we eventually got ran off and decided to head to the the Riverside Pop-up Shop at the Bitter Alibi in Downtown Chattanooga. Pulling down the street, I was shocked that the parking lot behind the restaurant was completely full and had zero room for a car to park, let alone even drive through the lot. The surrounding area was filled with cars and people lined the streets to hang and chill for several hours.
A weekend full of pop-up meets was not the expected outcome of coming to Chattanooga but it turned out to be a great weekend and its always great hanging out and meeting new internet friends.
A HUGE thanks goes out to the people of Riverside and their ability to bring people together no matter the circumstances. This weekend was nothing short of amazing for everyone that made it down.
